Embedded systems engineer and entrepreneur building precision agriculture solutions for African farmers since 2013.
Our story began in 2013 during our farm practice year in school. We experienced the challenges that smallholder farmers face — the unavailability of water causing seasonal farming, poor irrigation scheduling, and crop damage from over- or under-watering.
We developed the iWET™ precision irrigation system to solve these problems. iWET intelligently monitors soil moisture and nutrient levels and automatically irrigates crops as needed — saving water, time, soil nutrients, and money for farmers.
In 2023, iWET™ led Maotronics Systems Limited to be selected for the Qualcomm® Make in Africa Mentorship Program — one of only ten startups chosen from 34 African countries.
